Unlike other adjustable dumbells this comes as a set (there are two), so no having to wait and buy another dumbell. This is the only dumbell set that came with a stand, which keeps you from constantly bending over to adjust the weight throughout the workout. The transition from one weight to another is really quick, smooth, and easy. I like the fact that the weights go from 5 to 30 pounds, so both my wife and I can use the set for p90x. Unlike other adjustable weights, you dont have to worry about scraping your knuckles agianst the heads of any bolts due to poor design. The set seems really durable, easy to grip and fun to use. Although more expensive than many models its still far cheaper than the boflex dumbells, I would definitely recommend taking a serious look at these before buying anything else! The weight adjustment is easy seems secure. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to very hard use (like repeated dropping), but the quality seems very good for moderate use. I have a full set of individual dumbbells I use for hard workouts, but this works great to keep handy in a bedroom closet for quick workouts. If you don't need or want the stand, there are other adjustable dumbbells sets on Amazon which are less expensive and have a greater range of adjustment, but this is a very good buy for the complete dumbbell and stand set. Free shipping for a item like this is amazing too. Very happy so far, the stand is great. Make sure you don't adjust the weights unless it is in the stand though, it has grooves that hold the adjustable plates (they fall over if on the floor for instance), so plan to use the stand. I saw conflicting statements on the picture and in the text description of whether it could do 5 or 2.5 lb increments. As I suspected, it can do the 2.5 lb, but it will be off balance (e.g. on the weight, set one side to 10 lb and the other to 15 and you have 12.5, but it's not weighted in the center obviously) but it's not a big deal to me. Overall, very happy so far, I'd buy them again. They've been in use a few times a week for almost a month, so I can't speak to their long term durability just yet, but I don't forsee any issues.
